When you hear there's another "bro" podcast on the block, an eye roll is tempting. But Dylan Sprouse and Brendan Columbus, hosts of new video podcast WILDMEN, are determined to do "the hang" differently.
Sprouse and Columbus met while attending New York University, where a college friendship quickly became a decade-spanning bond. It's that friendship that gives WILDMEN its signature chaotic energy, a style that carries over to their show's Instagram page, which is flooded with obscure memes and references to The Lord of the Rings.
The name WILDMEN comes from Sprouse and Columbus's longtime group chat (will we get a peak inside? Only time will tell). Each week, Dylan and Brendan will sit down for candid, comedy-driven conversations with friends, actors, comedians, musicians, creators, and cultural personalities from their orbit. Upcoming guests include Dylan's wife Barbara Palvin, Cole Sprouse, KJ Apa, Jojo Siwa, Harry Jowsey, Camila Mendes, and more.
Sprouse came to fame alongside twin brother Cole on The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. The hit kids' TV Show launched the brothers as a household name. Columbus, a writer and director, is the son of filmmaker Chris Columbus. His film credits include Home Alone, Mrs. Doubtfire, and the first two Harry Potter films.
As the hosts step into new roles (Sprouse into fatherhood, Columbus into marriage), audiences will get an unprecedented insight into Sprouse's life while falling in love with Columbus's energy along the way. And with Palvin expecting her first child in a matter of months, fans will undoubtably tune in to hear news about Baby Sprouse.
The official trailer is available now on WILDMEN socials with the double-episode premiere set to debut Tuesday, July 14.
New episodes will drop every Tuesday wherever listeners get their podcasts, with video available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube and, as Columbus notes, "wherever podcasts are served."
